"Great product, would never be without it. Consider the Gerber Strike Force as well, which is bulkier and more expensive, but supposed to be even better at throwing sparks.

When I travel, I always have one of these around my neck. Air, fire, water, shelter, food are my priorities, and this is a very portable means of satisfying the second priority.

Always bring more than one means of starting a fire with you. This is a viable one, but do not discount a magnesium bar and striker, as when the weather gets really bad, it might perform better than this for you (your mileage may vary). I carry both, and a fire piston as well. Yes, I think I have some matches here somewhere too. :)"
