"This windshield is a very useful addition to your pack.
The five sections can easily be cut with tin snips so that you can reduce the height of the shield, to suit your particular cooking system. Having five sections, this is easily big enough for 900ml pots including MSR's titan kettle etc. I have noticed that boiling times are greatly reduced when using this shield, especially in cold or windy conditions, which saves time in cooking, and fuel.
The windshield can be clipped together in use, due to it's built in pegs located at either end, which is very useful in windy conditions. The pegs also anchor the shield down.
This windshield should not be confused with other heavier shields, and is actually quite light in weight. That said it is obviously heavier than ultra lightweight foil shields (which can blow away in high winds), but unlike the foil shields, this one will last for many years.
As the shield is made from sheets of lightweight aluminium, it stays strong in use and will not soften or buckle. I have even used my shield as a pot support when using large frying pans for outdoor feasting sessions.
I have used one of these windshields for the last few years, and it is still as good as new, even with being used three or four times per week!
Overall this is a no-nonsense product, that is half the price of foil shields, but sets up more quickly and will last much longer."
